  • We welcome:
  • (1)Applicants who aim to become professional musicians in the future. They should be zealous about music, diligent at its studies, and possess the fundamental music performance skills and techniques.
  • (2)Applicants who can actively learn and show respect and appreciation to music from different nations, cultures and eras.
  • (3)Applicants who desire to acquire solid adaptability, inter-personal communication and problem-solving skills by taking part in the planning, management, and staging of several musical concerts in teams.
  • (4)Applicants who have strong passion in acquiring the knowledge, techniques and qualities necessary to act in a conducting or teaching role in the future.

Admission Policy of Graduate School

Described below are the Candidate Standards, as stipulated in the Graduate School Admission Policy of the University.

  • (1)A candidate is an individual with a research capability suitable for a major field of study or capable of acquiring the advanced capability necessary to pursue a highly specialized profession.
  • (2)A professional performer, cutting edge music researcher or an individual capable of acquiring the performance and expressive capacities required of a specialized professional, or the research capability of a leading educator who paves the way for the next generation.
  • (3)An individual capable of acquiring a foundation to become a musician with a capacity to engage in musical activities and research activities with a broad international perspective.
  • (4)An individual who respects the autonomy and individuality of each individual, who is capable of performing specialized or individual research that conforms to a major topic, or an individual capable of spontaneously promoting, planning and researching with the intention of making social contributions.
