Number of Students to be Admitted

On August 31, 2022, Senzoku Gakuen College of Music received approval from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for an application for approval of changes to the Policies and Regulations regarding an increase in the admission capacity of the Department of Music, Faculty of Music.
As a result, the number of applicants for each entrance examination category for the 2026 academic year is as follows.

Entrance Examination Categories and Selection Method

Comprehensive Selection	Consideration for the enrollment selection process is open to individuals applying exclusively to our College, who thoroughly understand and deeply empathize with the founding spirit, its purpose, objectives for personal cultivation and educational research of our College. Practical exams, academic exams, and interviews, including self-promotion formats, are conducted, sometimes multiple times, in order to appropriately assess the applicants’ "knowledge and skills," "thinking, judgment, and expression abilities," and "independent learning" required for college education. In addition, application documents such as academic transcripts and statements of purpose are utilized to comprehensively evaluate abilities, motivation, and future potential that are difficult to assess in the general entrance exam.
General Entrance Exam	Consideration for the enrollment selection process is open to a wide range of individuals applying to our College, who understand the founding spirit, its purpose, objectives for personal cultivation and educational research of our College. Practical and academic exams measure the fundamental knowledge and musical talent necessary for learning at the College, along with "knowledge and skills," "thinking, judgment, and expression abilities," and "independent learning". Interviews and application documents (such as transcripts and statements of purpose) are also included in order to comprehensively evaluate in the general entrance exam.
Pre-College Admission	Consideration for the enrollment selection process is open to individuals applying exclusively to this College and enrolled in Cross Arts by January of the year before the entrance exam, while concurring with the spirit by which the College was established, its purpose, objectives for personal cultivation and educational research. The comprehensive selection is based on screenings and an evaluation, with an interview and application documents (survey documents, etc.).

Application Process for Comprehensive Selection

Online Application

Applicants should check the date of exam and its online application period, and submit the application form, statement of purpose, as well as other required documents via the online application website by the deadline.
All of the following must be completed and received by the deadline, online application via the online application website, payment of the examination fee, and other supporting materials sent by postal mail.

【Specialized Subjects Examination】

Not only your present performance or presentation skills, or completeness of your work, but also your potential abilities and possibilities to improve will be comprehensively judged.

【Interview】

Individual interview for applicants to show and present themselves as a self-promotion will be conducted.
Applicants will be requested to fill in the preliminary information sheet at the examination to facilitate the interview process.

【Musical Grammar※】 【Ear Training※】

Applicants will be examined if they have the knowledge and the ability necessary to study at the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music. Testing of Musical Grammar and Ear Training may be waived if an applicant has passed these tests conducted by the College.
※Applicants for Classical Ballet, Dance, Voice Actor/Animation Song, Mediaarts,or Musical Creativity and the Environment, will not need to take Musical Grammar and Ear Training.
※ Applicants for Jazz and American Music "JAM", Music Design, or Musical Theater will not need to take Ear Training.
※Applicants for Vocal Music can select Ear Training or Chorubungen.

Announcement of Results

Applicants can confirm their result of the examination on the online application website on the each day of the Announcement of Results.

Qualifications

1. Those who have graduated or are expected to graduate from Music-Related Course or Faculty of Music/Art, of a four-year university by March 2026.
2. Those who have completed or expected to complete more than two-year study of Music-Related Course or Faculty of Music/Art, of a four-year university, and have earned or expected to earn more than 62 credits by March 2026.
3. Those who have graduated or are expected to graduate from Music-Related Course or Faculty of Music/Art, of a two-year university by March 2026.
4. Those who have been recognized by individual screening conducted by our college as having qualifications equivalent to 2 or 3.

Year of Matriculation

Admitted students will enter on April 1st, 2026 as third year students for 2 years of study.

Transfer of Credits

Admitted students who have earned credits in courses of other Schools/Universities before entering the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music may transfer those credits, if the courses are considered equivalent to courses in Liberal Arts or Specialized Subject offered at the College. Transferred credits will be applicable towards graduation requirements.

Withdrawal After Entrance Procedure

If you decided to withdraw your application after you have completed the admission procedure, you may request it by the designated deadline.
The withdrawal procedure must be completed at our Admission Center no later than 11:00a.m.(JST) on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
The school fees which you had paid to the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music with exception of the admission fee will be refunded if you complete the withdrawal procedure by the deadline.
No refunds for withdrawal requests after the deadline regardless of the reason.
